CSD is entirely handmade and includes two large wood laminated pieces to form a circle, with slots inside fit for 2 sizes of cameras. There are 13 slots for smaller cameras and 4 large slots for bigger cameras. A design requirement is for CSD to be secure so cameras are accounted for, and therefore there is one extra slot for both sizes, allowing for a surface acrylic sheet to be locked in a position at two empty slots, where no cameras are stored.

CSD was an A2 project made for the client - uppingham school. it is a storage device for 2 types of cameras designed and made for the art department. This project RECEIVED 97/100 for the coursework of my A2.

The acrylic sheet spins on a central axis, fixing the locking sheet to the main body, and is secured on by a brass hex part, with a small grub screw on the side. There are also small cork stickers under the acrylic sheet to prevent friction and scratching of the acrylic sheet against the plywood.

CSD is then fitted onto a board of MDF which is spaced 2cm from the wall to allow for wires to go behind the product.
